Why are the veggies on a burger on the bottom below the meat while other times are above.?
For instance Chilis bar and grill they put the vegetables below the meat and at Whataburger they put the veggies above. Does it matter where they put it?

Often times lettuce is placed on the bottom to catch the juice and grease. This prevents the bottom bun from getting soggy.
