I am newly vegetarian and I grew up eating very fattening southern cooking i.e. beans seasoned with bacon drippings etc..................how can i give beans some spunk now that i am vegetarian?

I like to add vegetarian boullion cubes. I usually use beefflavored ones that are vegetarianfriendly. I also like to add chopped onions to pinto beans.

Make chili. Veggie chili has a lot of seasonings and is very healthy and flavorful. I grew up in the south and know what you mean. Try these recipes and add extra veggies to them if you want. That is what I do.

I have taken these recipes an added green beans zucchini and other things. I mix and match which beans I add. Sometimes red beans or white or pinto etc.
Enjoy These recipes definitely have spunk
